Danette Durón-Willner, founder and HR compliance expert
As a first-generation Mexican American, I know what it means to build something from the ground up. I know what it’s like to work twice as hard, push through barriers, and figure things out without a roadmap. That drive shaped my entire career—from advocating for equity and justice to leading HR and legal teams that help businesses and employees thrive.
For over 25 years, I’ve tackled some of the toughest workplace challenges such as compliance issues, labor and employment law matters, DEI initiatives, and proactive risk management. I’ve worked inside Fortune 500 corporations, leading HR and legal teams, helping organizations navigate complex employment laws, and ensuring workplaces were , compliant, and fair.
They didn’t have access to the same legal expertise and HR resources that larger companies did, making them vulnerable to compliance risks, lawsuits, and unnecessary problems. I saw DEI initiatives get defunded, I watched businesses struggle to keep up with changing regulations, and I knew I had to offer a different path for them.

But here’s what I realized: small businesses, especially those led by women, first-generation entrepreneurs, and people of color, were being left behind.
