You’re hiring your next 10 to 100 employees and realizing “winging it” isn’t going to cut it anymore, but you have no idea where to start.
You’ve pieced together HR policies from Google, old jobs, and gut instinct, but something tells you it might not actually be compliant.
An employee just brought up an issue you weren’t prepared for, and now you’re wondering if you handled it the right way or if it’s about to become a bigger problem.
You want to create a strong, people-first workplace, but between compliance rules, hiring best practices, and performance management, it all feels overwhelming.

What types of businesses benefit from HR compliance services?
If you have employees (or plan to hire soon), you need HR compliance. Our services are designed for growing small businesses—especially those scaling up their workforce and are in need of structured policies, clear compliance practices, and risk prevention strategies to scale with confidence.
I already have an HR manager. Do I still need this?
Yes! Even if you have someone handling HR, they may not have experience with risk mitigation, regulatory compliance expertise, , or pre-litigation workplace investigations. We work alongside your existing team to fill in the gaps, train them, and strengthen your HR foundation.
What happens during the HR compliance review?
We do a full audit of your existing HR policies, employee handbook, job descriptions, performance management guidance, and workplace compliance practices. You’ll get clear feedback on what’s missing, outdated, or putting your business at risk—along with a customized plan to fix it.
What are the most common HR compliance roles and responsibilities?
HR compliance covers everything from ensuring your business follows employment laws to creating policies that protect both your company and employees. Some key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Ensuring fair hiring and termination practices.
- Managing workplace accommodations, FMLA, and leave policies.
- Overseeing anti-harassment and workplace training.
- Handling employee relations and workplace investigations.
How often is compliance training required?
It depends on your industry and state laws, but best practice is to conduct compliance training annually—especially for harassment prevention, workplace safety, and management training. Some states, like California and New York, require specific training for employees and supervisors.
How do you measure HR compliance?
HR compliance is measured by how well your business aligns with employment related regulations and best practices—but it’s not just about preventing issues and limiting the risk of lawsuits. It includes:
- Keeping policies and handbooks updated with current regulations.
- Ensuring employees receive proper training on workplace policies.
- Tracking proper documentation for hiring, termination, and employee records.
- Monitoring employee disputes and resolving them fairly and in compliance with state and federal statutues.
- Training managers on effective performance management practices.
